Message to Prospective Authors
The good news is that Highland accepts unsollicited submissions: but that does not mean that we are enamored of big buff envelopes tumbling to our letter box! We subconsciously apply our "pick-me-up" approach to submissions: if I do not have some reason to believe that yours is a good'un, why should I spend time on it? We have written a little slightly disuasive piece which is available from this page and which we invite you to look at.
The other thing to bear in mind is that we can say no far quicker than we can say yes!
